Traditional Hafling galopping race in Merano

Enjoy a colourful folklore procession with splendid decorated Hafling horses which parade the streets of the old town in Merano to the Maia racecourse. Every year on Easter Monday the racing season opens with the traditional Hafling galopp racing, where the horses are ridden by young riders in traditional costumes.
